Colorado Review

The Centennial State, Colorado is located to the Western parts of United States. Its area includes the northeastern part of Colorado Plateau, Southern Rocky Mountains and the western edge of the Great Plains. Spanish explorers named the red colored river “Rio Colorado” and the name Colorado came from it. Jefferson Territorial officially decided this name in 1861. Colorado is surrounded by Nebraska, Kansas, Wyoming, New Mexico and a small portion of Oklahoma. It is known as the heart of the American Southwest as the four states of Colorado has a common point where all the states meet. It doesn’t have any natural borders which makes it one of the three U.S. states without borders.

Colorado is known for its mountains, mesas, plains, canyons, rivers and desert lands. People living in Colorado are known as Coloradans. The climate of Colorado is not very predictable if you compare it with the other states in United States. Denver is the capital of Colorado and also the most populous city of Colorado. It is the eighth largest state in US with an area of 104,094 square miles. Colorado provides a healthy and active lifestyle for the people of living in there. People love skiing, hiking, playing water games, fishing when visiting California. If you are thinking about visiting Colorado, don’t forget to visit Mesa Verde National Park, Rocky Mountain National Park, Royal Gorge Bridge, The Colorado Railroad Museum and Fiske Planetarium and Science Center to make it a memorable trip!
